After years of having my studio as my own personal sanctuary, I have decided to open it up and start teaching pottery classes.
Come and join me on a day workshop where I will introduce you to the exciting world of ceramics. You will learn hand building techniques, and will have the opportunity to have a go at throwing on the wheel.
My sessions will be easy going and welcoming, and my studio is a stress free zone.
I will supply tea, coffee and Almond milk, you provide the Bourbons and a smile!
I will demonstrate various techniques and then you will be getting your hands dirty.
By the end of the session you will have produced your own pottery items which I will fire and glaze for you, ready for collection at a later date.
If you would like to come back and glaze the work yourself, this can also be arranged.
The workshop fee includes all materials and firings. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place, and the balance will be due prior to the session.
I like to work with small groups, so I can dedicate practical time one-to-one. With this in mind I will take a maximum of four people on a first come, first served basis. A minimum of two people is needed to run the session.
I have been working with clay for over twenty years. I have a BA and an MA Degree, both in Ceramic Design.
I have a fully functional pottery studio, set within a working warehouse, in Southbourne.
Woodside studios Southbourne, is a creative space consisting of six friendly artists working in different artistic disciplines.
